Laniakea 6-8, some chop on it
The north wind was blowing hard, and the sky is grey, but there were clean faces out at Lanis. Surfed for only a hour around 1, but it was pretty crowded and hard to get waves.
Came back before dark I could see it had cleaned up and the parking lot was almost empty now, compared to overflowing earlier.
The end bowl was about 4-6, the way outside main peak was probaly 6-8. My plan was actually to sit on the end, but I saw Garrett ride a wave past me as I paddled out so I wanted to get a big one. Paddled way out and caught a huge one which closed out. Did the complete tour with a bunch of waves on the head.
After that I sat on the end and rode 6 foot until dark on my 7'2".
Pretty funny because my friend was supposed to surf with me but he thought it looked like junk so he didn't go out. Missed it!
