New George Ku Longboard, What a great ride!
That's my new longboard which I rode for the first time today for an hour in 3-4 long wallsy lefts (much better for longboard probaly, but ok for shortboard too) . So stoked, I've never paddled so fast in my life, it felt like i was almost towing in I could take off so early and far out way before it was breaking . That early take off was cool because you could see the sections forming waaaay ahead but still make them.
Last wave was memorable, got in early, did a sort of carve, then saw a section that looked ho0llow. Got a quicky little barrel (stoked!) then rode a bit more where it closed out and I lost my board. It got taken all the way in and down by current like half mile. I sprint swam it too because I thought I was late and my wife had to leave for work. but I made it on time, stoked!
My board is the classic longboard
Great board!!

Ehukai scattered beachbreak 3-5 foot, semi-stormy
Surfed Ehukai area to GC's this morning from 9-10:30, scattered kind of stormy 3 - 5 foot peaks over the sandbars. Pretty crowded in some areas of it, I was frustrated most of the session, but did score one fun sandbar dredge waller. Got caught inside the sandbar a few times and could not get back out ! Had to go around like 100 yards down twice! man....:)
