Google Earth - Amazing!!!!!
You absolutely have to try Google Earth. You can download it here:
After you have downloaded and installed it check this:
I have created a placemark file of some surf spots around Oahu:
Download Oahu Surf Spots Google Earth File
Be sure and click the "play tour" button under the places, it will go from spot to spot.
Here is an example screen shot of avalanch on the north shore:
